How to Disable Windows 2008 R2 Server Manager at Logon

How to Disable Server Manager opening at Logon Windows Server 2008 R2

Server Manager will open every time you logon to the server.  This slows the logon process and when you manage a large number of servers like we do that extra time is unwelcome.

To disable Server Manager open the registry to
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\ServerManager

Change the value of DWORD value from 0 to 1.
DoNotOpenServerManagerAtLogon

This will take effect after the next reboot.
